In 1987, the Boxenstop Museum held its first meeting of Classic and Vintage Cars. The event was calles the RETROMOTOR and it took place on the third weekend in September. Thirty cars and motorcycles came to the Musuem for this first event. We were very happy with the turnout and everyone had a wonderful time.

The RETROMOTOR grew each year and became a huge Classic Car and Vintage Car event.  The festival included rally’s during the day and night as well as several tours.  These events became the pillars of this festival.

In the meantime the RETROMOTOR has evolved to an international event with international guests.

Over time, other events became part of the program.

The "MotorMobil Museumsfest” is a festival that takes places in and around our museum and The StarMaxx is our rally for future Classic Cars.  Boxenstop also offers rally training courses for beginners and advanced drivers.
